Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and
faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

HOPE LIBRARY IS OPEN FOR BUSINESS!

  • Retired teacher from Triad School District, Marti Heape, along with her husband, Byron Heape, a former school board member, made it their mission to have a library for the students at the AVOH Kabulonga campus to further improve their reading skills.  Over 30 boxes of donated books were shipped during the first half of 2009.  This initial stocking of books for the library was donated by students and teachers at C.A. Henning and Silver Creek Elementary schools in Troy, IL.  Marti and Byron traveled to Zambia to set up the new library.  The students were very excited and amazed to see all the new books available to them to read at any given moment!  Supplies are typically scarce and in high demand, so a library is a such a luxury for them!  Thank you to all those who played a part in making this VISION a reality for these children!
