| We are so blessed as Americans to have food, clothing, and shelter, and often times in our comfort, we dismiss the troubles of the world thinking, what can we do about it anyway? As people are saying to themselves “this is really sad…but I am just one person and I can’t do anything about it,” African Vision of Hope says yes – you CAN make a difference. African Vision of Hope connects people from our local communities to these widows and children in Zambia through philanthropic opportunities, too often thought not available to us domestically. By connecting real people with real people – bridging the gap between our experiences and resources – African Vision of Hope brings life-changing engagement to those in Zambia and the U.S. through hope. |

African Vision of Hope makes that hope a reality by continually building schools to educate the growing student-body currently at almost 500 students, providing books, school supplies, school uniforms, shoes and other clothing, over 20,000 meals a month, water, an orphanage to provide shelter, establishing health clinics and medical assistance, and supplying HIV/AIDS awareness and prevention for the community. African Vision of Hope also provides self-improvement and economic development to the local communities in Zambia through literacy classes, agricultural support including research and production, construction and trade skills, and sewing skills. Without the assistance from African Vision of Hope, these communities would not have a model of sustainability and empowerment to overcome their crisis.

Domestically, 100% of the office and storage space are donated, 100% of the work in the U.S. is performed by volunteers, and 100% of the proceeds raised goes to the programs supporting the widows, orphans, and the vulnerable children in Zambia. African Vision of Hope engages the community through its staff of volunteers and supporters, allowing local families and children to broaden their perspective, gain worldviews, and learn international cultures. Through volunteering, people are changed, sometimes unknowingly, becoming more charitable in areas where they live and work. Children learn that spirit of giving from their parents, connecting to the children in Zambia by collecting soccer balls, uniforms, and sponsoring an African Vision of Hope child. Our local communities are instilling altruistic values that are transformational for themselves as well as those in Zambia.
African Vision of Hope provides an opportunity to break the cycle of poverty. Breaking the cycle of poverty is the only way for the Zambian communities to survive and succeed. |
